About Web Site Helper

Mary Johnson is Web Site Helper

Web Site Helper LLC is a one-person company, formed in 2002 when I, Mary Johnson, left my position as an executive level director at a local Dayton company and started my own business.

Dayton Ohio & Knoxville Tennessee Locations

I currently live in Dayton Ohio with my husband, Jim.  We recently purchased a waterfront lot on Norris Lake in Tennessee and plan to build a 2nd home there yet this year (2009). I'll be doing business in both locations, and with technology these days, you won't even know I'm gone.

My Specialty is Everything Internet

I specialize in helping small to medium-sized businesses use the Internet and related technologies to market their products and services in today's global economy.

Now in my 7th year in business, I attribute my success to meeting the needs of my clients and delivering results.  View client testimonials.

My clients tell me they appreciate my ability to:

  • Problem solve to find the best, most cost-effective solutions
  • Stay on top of technology and keep them informed of ways to stay ahead of their competition
  • Communicate effectively, in person and over the phone, to solve problems
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Follow through to finish a job in a timely manner.

Education

I have a Masters degree in Computer Science (4.0 average) from the University of Dayton and a Bachelors degree (with an art minor) from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Professional Experience

For over 20 years, I worked my way up the corporate ladder first doing programming and then getting into management.  I worked for some top-notch corporations including GMAC, EDS, Battelle Memorial Institute, and BDM (now TRW).

One of my more interesting projects included:

  • Programming a 3-D graphics simulator of in-flight refueling used for training by the U.S. Air Force.  I used my artistic abilities and programming skills to create the 3-D vector graphics for creating camouflaged aircraft used in visual images such as you see in the picture to the right.

Prior to starting Web Site Helper, I was the Director of Information Technology at a medium-sized manufacturing company where I handled a $750,000 IT budget and managed a staff of 12 in an environment requiring 24/7 support. Downtime was not an option.

How My Experience Can Benefit You

As a business, you care about quality.  You want websites, newsletters, and blogs that:

  • are well tested and stable before they are implemented
  • use the latest proven technologies so that your investment will last a while
  • make you look good because they work like they should
  • are a pleasant experience for your customers
  • make it easy for your customers to decide that they want to do business with YOU.

I have the expertise and know-how to deliver this same quality to each of my customers because of my formal training & education in my field and actual work experience for large companies that have formal quality assurance departments.  It's all about repeatability.

I specialize in being creative and coming up with solutions to fit any budget.  I keep you in the loop during the entire process to make sure that you are informed and satisfied with all efforts put forth on your project.

In short, I don't leave quality to chance.  I work hard to give you what you paid for and, in turn, earn your trust.

My Philosophy

You only have one reputation.  My reputation is based on recommending solutions that work, doing what I said I would do, and standing behind this with a 100% guarantee.

A Little Bit About Me

I love the out-of-doors and exploring everything from local small towns to foreign lands.  My favorite mode of transportation is by foot because it slows you down enough to look and appreciate the little things.

My husband and I enjoy traveling, especially to countries that have a degree of culture shock. We have traveled to over 30 countries -- the most exotic trips being the Soviet Union and China.

Another variation is adventure travel; we have gone white water rafting through the Grand Canyon and canoeing in the back country of the Boundary Waters in Ely, Minnesota where the mosquitos are merciless.
