Seamless Integrated Look Is Fun... Just What We Wanted

When we called Web Site Helper, we had a very out-of-date and cumbersome web site on our hands. Our Girl Scout Council serves nine counties so having a dynamic web site was a must.

Since the day we launched Mary's new design, the feedback from users has been incredible. Her design for our web site was fun and functional, just exactly what we needed and a perfect match for our organization.

The integrated look between our main site, the eNewsletter and our online registration site is seamless.

Best of all, participation in program events has increased dramatically. We use the eNewsletter on a monthly basis to drive traffic to our event registration site and it works so well that we see an immediate spike in sign-ups!

Working with Mary Johnson couldn't be easier. She has been there for us every step of the way as we advanced our plan for adding new features.

Dynamic Event Registration eCommerce Website

Girl Scouts of Buckeye Trails

The Girl Scouts of Buckeye Council asked Web Site Helper to design them a fun, non-traditional website to replace one that they had been maintaining in-house.

The original website had many problems that arose from having been maintained by numerous people over a number of years with FrontPage:

• Hard-to-follow, inconsistent navigation
• Broken links
• Slow download speeds due to large graphic images
• The use of frames

Phase I:  New Website. 
Web Site Helper designed and built a new website as a foundation for their future growth plans:

• Designing the new look and feel in Dreamweaver
• Constructing the core website pages
• Training them on using Dreamweaver so they could insert the content from their old 100-page website into the new structure.

Phase II:  eNewsletter. 
Web Site Helper designed a custom eNewsletter to match the design of the new website.  Now they can send targeted news and information to separate email lists (e.g. training vs staff vs board members, etc).  The general newsletter lists upcoming events with a live link to the website so they can signup and pay for it online.   This has proven very effective in filling up classes at the last-minute.

Phase III:  Event Registration Shopping Cart. 
Web Site Helper added a sophisticated Event Registration shopping cart that was a hit the day it went public because of its ease-of-use.   Events can be searched by keyword, viewed by category, date, and age range.

Phase IV:  Forum. 
Web Site Helper added a phpBB forum to the main website that allows the girls to share their thoughts on various topics in a protected, monitored environment.
