The Merc

You don't buy the steak, you buy the sizzle.  The same is true of loft / condominiums.

The Merc website is an excellent example of a site that is based on a concept that I came up with -- "the European lifestyle".

Web sites are marketing tools and an effective web site needs to communicate those aspects of a product or service that appeal most to the target audience.

In the case of The Merc, these trendy loft condominiums appeal to upscale clientele who want freedom (i.e. no yards to mow) and convenience (i.e. nearby coffee shops and the theater) to maintain a certain lifestyle.

The Merc web site builds on this concept by providing easy access to "Things to Do" and helping the visitor visualize being a part of that lifestyle.

I came up with the concept, wrote all of the copy, designed and built the site, and set them up with instant visibility in the search engines using pay-per-click advertising -- a very cost-effective method of advertising for them.
